Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona has left the Democratic Party and registered as an Independent.
In a press release, Sinema said:
"Americans are told that we have only two choices – Democrat or Republican – and that we must subscribe wholesale to policy views the parties hold, views that have been pulled further and further toward the extremes.”
Sinema has defied the Democratic caucus multiple times the last two years, blocking some of the more radical parts of Joe Biden’s agenda, often voting in tandem with West Virginia’s Joe Manchin.
Sinema, a first term Senator, was elected to Congress in 2018.
Wow, who will she caucus with?
